- I live in Dallas and operate a company my grandfather started in 1941. We are a manufacturer of custom window coverings (2 & 1" blinds, motorized shades, cellular shades, plantation shutters, etc). I was born and raised here in Dallas. Went to Lake Highlands H.S. After graduation, I attended Stephen F. Austin State in East Texas. When the money quickly dried up, I dropped out and joined the U.S. Army and served three years overseas in Europe. I returned to SFA upon my discharge from the army but I never graduated. That's the boring version of my life. But in between, I have traveled the world and lived overseas. I've made lifelong bonds with people who I'll never see again. I married my college sweetheart and the love of my life. I divorced a woman I never knew. And I don't think I have ever been happier. I don't even know if that's much more interesting. Oh yeah...I once sat through an entire NASCAR race. I used to like pears until their texture creeped me out. Oh well.
